Project 4

Are you ready for an ART Scavenger Hunt 


Main Rule:
Do not go anywhere or touch anything that you would not normally be allowed to.  

For example, if you aren’t allowed to go in your parents’ bedroom, then don’t look for items in there.

Directions: 
   •  Read the description for each item below
   •  Watch the video link for better explanation 
   •  Find an item in your home or outside that meets each description
   •  Take a picture of the item, or describe the item in writing

If you are in KG, 1st, or 2nd grade, please find four of the items listed below. 
If you are in 3rd, 4th, or 5th grade, please find all eight items listed below.

When you are finished you need to EMAIL ME:

pictures of the items you found 
or 
type a list describing the items you found

 1.  A Vertical Line:
A line that runs up and down.

 2.  The Primary Colors
Something that has all 3 primary colors (Red, Yellow, & Blue)

 3.  Circle
A round, two-dimensional shape, (height & width). Remember, shapes are flat.

 4.  A Sphere
A round, three-dimensional form (height, width, & depth). Remember, forms are fat.

 5.  Something with Symmetry
When something is the same on both sides.  A mirror image of itself.

 6.  Something with Texture:
The way something feels. Smooth, rough, fuzzy, slimy, etc.

 7.  Something showing Contrast:
A difference between elements in artwork which can include size, color, or texture.

 8.  Something showing Value:
The lightness and darkness of a color or black.

Try product or food packages, toys, furniture, or around the yard.
