4th graders had a blast designing their own Minifigures by
drawing their self-portraits with a Lego styled twist. The students’ self-portraits represent their physical features, hobbies, likes and interests, and/or future career goals. Lego even supplied all the 4th
graders with a school edition copy of their recent Lego club magazine. Thanks Lego!
5th grade students molded clay into cups with a handle and saucer. After their pieces cooled from being in the kiln; students painted a solid base coat of color and then later added details to complete their mug design.
2nd grade students folded black construction paper in half and drew ½ of a butterfly using colored chalk. Then after closing their paper up like a book, they rubbed over the top with their hands to reveal a symmetrical light chalk reflection inside. Using those marks as a guide, students were then able to draw the other ½ of their butterfly with symmetry.
1st grade students created and assembled Spring Chicks in a Nest by using a paper plate and shredded paper for their nest, and then yellow construction paper with drawn on facial details for their chicks.
