Stockings

2nd graders designed Holiday Stockings.

 

Bow and Jingle Bell

4th graders learned about value and how to use highlight and shadow areas to create the illusion of depth.   Students traced a bow and bell template, outlined both using black sharpies, and then fill in areas with color values using oil pastels.  Unfortunately I was not able to photograph the process as my assistance was needed throughout the project.

Winter Scene

Kindergartners assemble houses using simple shapes and then painted falling snow.

 

Holiday Trees

5th graders coiled mold magic into a cone form, once dried they painted and decorated them to create Holiday Trees.

 

 

 

Turkeys

2nd grade students reviewed different types of lines, and then drew lines onto multiple pieces of construction paper.  Feather templates were then traced and cut out along with additional shapes to be glued and assembled showing a feather patterned paper turkey.
