Oil Pastel Hearts

 5th grade students used oil pastels to design their heart themed artwork. 

Valentine Bears

Kindergartens made Valentine Bears by first choosing their shade of brown paper for their bear and then stamp painting it with tan paint.  Then students cut out the different shapes needed to glue and assemble their bears.  They then wrote there names on an envelope and filled it with paper hearts they cut out. 

 

Hands

1st grade students traced their hand and added a small heart shape in the middle of their palm.  Then they colored their hand and decorated the background.

 

Positive Words

2nd grade students created a black & white background paper writing nice and positive words all over it in different directions, styles, and thickness.  Then students choose the paper color to trace and cut out for their hand and wrist, as well as for the heart to hold.

W/C Hearts

3rd grade students identified  warm  vs.  cool colors.

Students showed either a warm colored heart on a cool colored background, 

or a cool colored heart on a warm colored background.
