2nd grade students used toothbrushes to splatter orange and purple paint over black paper revealing a negative space bat image when dry. Students also traced the bat and used diagonal, vertical, and horizontal lines to separate their paper and then colored each section using markers and crayons to create a stain glass effect.

Harvest Pumpkins
4th grade students drew a harvest pumpkin sitting in the grass and then outlined all their pencils marks with glue to create a raised contour line when dry. Then using even and controlled brush strokes, students painted their papers using tempera cakes with a wet on wet technique.
Monsters
1st grade students created Frankenstein inspired boy or girl monsters by cutting out and gluing down shapes with drawn on details. If a student doesn't celebrate Halloween they had the option of creating a boy or girl character instead.

Skeletons
Using cotton swabs, 3rd grade students constructed skeletons in an action pose based off the book Skeleton Hiccups by Margery Cuyler.
Spider webs
To begin their spider web art project, 5th grade students had to first draw two spiders onto black construction paper using glue. After the glue dried, students used colored chalk to draw converging lines from the center point of their papers out to create the illusion of depth for their background. The papers were then wiped off to soften the background lines and then students drew a rotational symmetric spider web on top using white chalk.
Movable Bats
2nd graders created movable bats by using their own hand shapes for the wings, cutting them out along with an oval body and triangle ears. Then after drawing a face and decorating a craft stick, students assembled all their pieces together.
Positive/Negative Space Cats
3rd grade students drew a basic cat shape on either orange or purple paper and then cut them out. Using the left over paper, students turned what was the negative space into the positive space of their artwork by gluing it onto a black background revealing the stiletto of a cat shape. Students then completed their artwork by using yellow triangle shapes to represent the cats’ eyes glowing in the dark.
Birds in a Tree
1st grade students assembled an art project showing birds sitting on tree branches that represent how two primary colors create a secondary color.
First students cut and glued on brown construction paper for their tree. Next they cut out primary and secondary colored circles and then drew on the eyebrows and eyes using a black crayon. Students then glued the circles on their branches to show how red and blue make purple, blue and yellow make green, and yellow and red make orange. To complete their artwork students added triangle top feathers and beaks to their birds, along with green leaves for their trees.

Multiplication Houses
4th grade students began their multiplication house project by designing a background using crayons. Then after gluing down colored construction paper for the basic structure of their house; students completed their project by incorporating multiplication problems into their windows and front door.
Fall Circle Trees
Kindergartners worked together to identify, trace, cut and glue circles using small, medium and large sizes to create their classroom circle tree.
Warm & Cool Colored Hands
3rd grade students differentiated between warm and cool colors by creating either a warm or a cool colored hand that interrupts the circle pattern of the opposite color themed background.
